Is this fortune-telling?
No. Muhūrta doesn't claim to know outcomes. It applies the classical Vedic timing framework, daśā and transit cycles, to describe seasons when a kind of effort has traditionally been considered well supported. Treat it as one input for reflection, not a substitute for professional, financial, legal or medical advice.
What if I don't know my exact birth time?
Enter your best estimate. Your map still computes, but readings that depend on the rising sign and houses are less reliable with an uncertain time, so hold those loosely. If you later find your time on a birth record, one edit recalculates everything.
Which system of astrology is this?
Jyotiṣa, Indian sidereal astrology, using the Lahiri ayanāṁśa, Vimśottarī daśā and classical pañcāṅga election. It isn't Western astrology, so your sign here may differ from the one you know.
Can it really pick a wedding date?
Choosing dates is muhūrta's original purpose. Give it your possible range and it ranks the strongest dates inside it, with the reasoning for each.
